Pagoda

An earlier cultural piece inspired by a few items I own and my own cultural identity. This piece depicts a tan-skinned (can be interpreted as Filipina) woman adorning Feng Shui coin earrings and a large green snake tattoo. The snake tattoo is representative of my Chinese Zodiac, being born in 2001, a year of the snake. The feng shui coins are homage to a gift my grandparents gave me when I left for college. Feng shui coins strung on a red thread are traditionally hung on door knobs to call in fortune.
